GMB is made up of two main Sections, Public Services and the Private Sector
Within each of the Sections are Sub Sections that are headed by a National Secretary and/or National Officer. Within GMB Scotland each Section is headed by a Senior Organiser who is responsible to GMB Scotland Secretary and leads a team of GMB Officers, Membership Development Officers and Recruitment Officers. The Commercial Services Section combines over 193,132 GMB members nationally working in professional and service industries in the private sector across the UK. More
The GMB Manufacturing Section combines over 118,382 GMB members nationally working in manufacturing and related industries in the private sector. More
GMB's Public Services Section is for members of the Union who are employed in local authorities and private sector contractors engaged in publicly funded work. More
